饥饿的毛毛虫
In the light of the moon
a little egg lay on a leaf.
月光下，一颗小小的蛋躺在叶子上
One sunday morning,
星期天早上，
the warm sun came up
暖和的太阳升上来了
and-POP!-out of the egg came
“啪”一声，从蛋里爬出了
a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
一条又小又饿的毛毛虫。
He started to look for some food.
他开始去找一些食物来吃。
On Monday he ate through one apple,
星期一，他吃了一个苹果，
But he was still hungey.
可是他还是好饿。
One 饥饿的毛毛虫 Tuesday he ate through two pears,
星期二，他吃了两个梨子，
But he was still hungry.
可是他还是很饿。
On Wednesday he ate through three plums,
星期三，他吃了三个李子，
可是，肚子还是好饿。
On Thursday he ate through four strawberries,
星期四，他吃了四个草莓，
可是，肚子还是好饿。
On Friday he ate through five oranges,
星期五，他吃了五个橘子，
可是，肚子依旧很饿。
One Saturday, he ate through
星期六，他吃了
one piece of chocolate cake,
一块巧克力蛋糕、
one ice-cream cone,
一个冰淇淋甜筒、
one pickle,
一条小黄瓜、
one slice of Swiss cheese,
一块奶酪、
one slice of salami,
一条火腿、
one lollipop,
一根棒棒糖、
one piece of cherry pie,
一个樱桃派、
one sausage, one cupcake,
一条香肠、一个杯子蛋糕
and one slice of watermelon.
还有一片西瓜。
That night he had a stomachache!
那天晚上，毛毛虫的肚子痛!
The next day was sunday again.
第二天，又是星期天了。
The caterpillar eat through
one nice green leaf,
毛毛虫吃了一片又嫩又绿的叶子，
and after that he felt much better.
觉得舒服多了。
Now he wasn't hungry any more -
现在，毛毛虫不再觉得肚子饿了
and he wasn't a little caterpillar any more.
他不再是一只小毛毛虫了。
He was a big, fat caterpillar.
他是一只又肥又大的毛毛虫。
He built a small house called a cocoon,
around himself.
他绕着自己的身子，
造了一座叫做“茧”的小房子。
He stayed inside for more than two weeks.
他在那里面呆了两个多星期。
Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon,
然后，他就在茧壳上啃出一个洞洞，
pushed his way out and ......
钻了出来……
He became a beautiful butterfly!
他变成了一只美丽的蝴蝶！
